The CRL Tape Sash Balance is a popular method for the replacement of rope and pulley balance systems. Simply mortise the balance into the jamb and attach the tape to the sash. The standard tape length will accommodate a sash up to 40 inches (101.6 centimeters) tall. Use a single balance for sash up to 4-1/2 pounds (2 kg); two balances for sash up to 9 pounds (4 kg).
