A CRL 3M™ Diamond Belt offers tremendous life compared to a standard silicone carbide belt. In addition, the edge quality is consistent throughout the belt life. This is because diamonds wear much slower than silicone carbide. Since diamonds cut rather than scratch like sandpaper, less pressure is required to accomplish the same material removal. The synthetic fiber-woven belt backing material is impervious to water and oils, providing maximum life from your belt. Although considerably more expensive, diamond belts can offer savings in situations where belt changing time or edge finish is critical. Diamond belts should always be used on machines in good condition with true running rollers. Use with the CRL Makita™ 1-1/8" x 21" Belt Sander.
