CRL P10T Primer
promotes adhesion of certain one-part CRL Silicone Sealants to a variety of
construction materials such as glass, aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless
steel, paints, Kynar 500 and most plastics (no polyethylene).

Metal surfaces should first be cleaned with Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) to remove
oil, grease, dirt and other contaminants, then wiped dry with clean rags. Apply
a uniform continuous film of primer (approximately 100 square feet per pint)
avoiding excess of primer for best results. Allow primer to air dry prior to
applying sealant. Prime only as much surface as can be sealed the same day.
Important Note:
Containers should be kept tightly sealed when not in use.
The prime coat hydrolyzes upon contact with atmospheric moisture, and prolonged
exposure will reduce or destroy its effectiveness. Once hydrolyzed, indicated by
a milky appearance, the material cannot be reclaimed, and will contaminate any
unreacted prime coat with which it is mixed.
A sealant adhesion mock-up is recommended to assure performance.
