- For Hot Melt Dispensers
- Convenient Slab Form is Easy to Use
CRL Hot Melt Butyl Insulating Glass Sealant is a 100 percent solids, hot applied butyl-based sealant designed to give tenacious adhesion to glass and aluminum, for a moisture-proof seal in I.G. units. The product is a one-component sealant system with lower moisture vapor transmission rates than current polysulfide, silicone, or polyurethane systems. It features low residual tack and excellent corner knitting. CRL Hot Melt Butyl applies with any hot melt pumping system, and is available in different forms for use with various system types.
Butyl in slabs is easy to use in CRL SS96, SS88, SS7, ATXMI and ATXII dispensing systems. It is packaged on coated release sheets and can be easily rolled up or folded for inserting into dispensers with smaller melting pots.
Hot melt butyl is dispensed at operating temperatures in excess of 400°F. Wear the proper safety gear including gloves, arm guards and protective eyewear to avoid burns and other injuries.
