Our CRL Heavy Bodied Mirror Mastic is formulated from high quality asphaltic bitumens, fibers and mineral spirits. It has an excellent performance record for such uses as bedding and setting mirrors, slate and synthetic blackboards, structural glass, and a variety of exterior and interior building panels. It comes pre-mixed and ready to use directly from the container, and can be applied by trowel with 1/8 inch (3 millimeter) notches (minimum coverage of 60% when the mirror is pressed into place) or in golf ball size pats (minimum one per square foot), the preferred method, as the job requires. Product is black in color.

Note: Surfaces must be clean and dry, and adhesive should be applied and stored in a warm place. Porous substrates must be primed with 3-pound cut shellac or Mirro-Mastic Bond . Do not prime over painted surfaces. CRL Heavy Bodied Mirror Mastic may be used with CRL Category II Safety Tape Film that has been washed (two-cloth method) with a 70% solution of isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
