The CRL Equalizer Excalibur Standard Kit is a small lightweight, air powered version of the electric powered CRL Equalizer. It is designed to cut the urethane bonding that holds most modern auto glass in vehicles. The .020 inch (.5 millimeter) thick blade reciprocates inside a metal sheath which protects the dash, garnish mouldings, and headliner. The blade is never really exposed because as it leaves the shealth it enters the urethane. With the CRL Equalizer Excalibur you can save encapsulated glass and bonded metal mouldings.
In the body shop, it can even be used to remove body side mouldings, emblems and SMC panels. The CRL Equalizer Excalibur has ball bearing construction and runs at 0 to 3,200 strokes per minute.
The CRL Equalizer Excalibur uses the same blades that are used by all CRL Equalizer tools. Three blade sizes are available; EQ4LB four inch, EQ8LB eight inch and EQ12LB 12 inch (102, 203 and 305 millimeters) will remove any glass. You can also choose to use the fastest cutting blades, the new serrated; ESB1304 four inch, ESB1308 eight inch and ESB1312 12 inch (102, 203 and 305 millimeters). The sheaths used with these blades are; EQ4SS four inch, EQ8SS, eight inch and EQ12SS 12 inch (102, 203 and 305 millimeter) which allow you to adjust the blade length to accommodate different urethane bead widths.
The EX40S kit ships with one eight inch (203 millimeter) blade and sheath. Made in USA.
