CRL can supply any of our seven standard colors (clear, aluminum, beige, black, bronze, tan, or white) in bulk. And, if you're looking for custom colors, we can do that for you too!
RTV408 is a neutral cure, medium modulus silicone sealant that cures to a tough, flexible rubber when exposed to moisture. It features primerless adhesion to: aluminum, stainless steel, chromium, tin, iron, plastics, rigid PVC, phenolic resin, glass, ceramic and most reflective-coated glasses. Its fast cure time and easy tooling make it ideal for many in-house production applications. It is non-corrosive to most building materials such as glass (including insulating glass), tiles, and sanitary equipment. It is also used in vehicles, ships, aircraft, as well as for electrical insulation. RTV408 does not cause corrosion in contact with metals. It is suitable for alkaline materials such as mortar and cement, and other applications where metal corrosion could be a problem. RTV408 stays flexible and is resistant to cracking or becoming brittle in a wide range of temperatures approximately -65 to +400 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 to 204 degrees Celsius). Technical Data: Meets or exceeds the following Federal Specifications: TT-S-001543A (COM-NBS), Class A for silicone building sealants; TT-S-00230C (COM-NBS) Class A, Non-Sag for one-component sealants; ASTM C920 Standard specification for Elastomeric Joint Sealant a Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, Use NT, G, and A; CGSB-19.13 Canadian Gov't Specs Board; AAMA 808.3-92. RTV408W and RTV408T contain a fungicide and the cured sealant is mildew resistant. RTV408 Silicone Sealant has a 20 year limited warranty. Once applied and thoroughly set up, it is warrantied to stay flexible for at least 20 years when properly applied and used under normal conditions.
